What are the Advantages of Scented Oil Fragrances?
You may or may not have heard about scented body oils. These scented oil fragrances are sweeping the nation mainly because they are so economical to use. They made their introduction in the inner cities and have spread throughout the nation. Young and older people in the rural areas have learned of these products also and are beginning to use them also. These oil based products are just as fragrant as perfumes and colognes and last much longer. The reason that they last so much longer is because they are oil based and don’t contain alcohol or other solvents to cause the scent molecules to be dispersed. Heat is the catalyst which causes the scent molecules to dissipate thus creating a fragrance.
There are many good points about these scented oil products so if you are considering using them. Let’s talk about perfumes and colognes first then we will explore the benefits and used of scented oils.
Perfumes and colognes are mostly alcohol that can dry the skin. A typical perfume or cologne can contain up to 80% to 90% alcohol which as you can see dilutes the product drastically. Oils are made of the pure product base and give you a fresh natural fragrance. Body oils are usually a fraction of the cost of perfumes or colognes. This is a definite plus, because you can afford about four to ten or more bottles of our body oil for every bottle of perfume or cologne that you buy.
Perfumes are different than body oils, but in many ways, body oils are better. They are just as mainstream as top of the line perfumes and colognes. The public has gotten a whiff of body oils, and are jumping on the band wagon because they are such a good deal. Once you make the decision to use body oils, you may not go back to alcohol- filled perfumes and colognes. Body oils offer reasonable prices, hard to find scents, and low allergic reaction. It seems like body oils are here to stay.
Body oils have an indefinite shelf life and are good for every possible situation when you need to wear a scent. They can be used in lieu of perfumes and colognes in every occasion. I have worn them around people who have the most sophisticated sense of smell when it comes to using scented oil products and have gotten many compliments.
Modern manufacturers have come so far when it comes to designing scents that they are on par with the best perfumers. Many of my oil customers will now mix fragrances to design their very own signature fragrances. Some of them will use oils and top it off with a small amount of perfume and cologne. Other customers will mix these products with unscented lotions to produce a fragrance treat that can be applied several times per day.
These oils can be mixed with massage oils for a special treat. You can apply just a small amount before bed to treat your mate to a romantic interlude. A few drops mixed with your bathwater will give you a late night treat and refresh you after a hard days work.
The best time to apply scented oil fragrances to your body is immediately following a bath or shower. This is the time that the pores are open and your skin will drink in the product. You can also apply the fragrance to pulse points or to your hair and clothing. Go ahead and experiment with these wonderful fragrances and see how they work for you.Fragrance Oil Express

A Review of Patchouli Scented Oil
Patchouli perfume which was very popular in the 1960s and still continues to captivate hearts. Patchouli has a strong earthy fragrance which is not for everybody. It can be worn as a perfume or cologne oil, used as an air freshener, or used in bath water or humidifiers to take advantage of its healing properties.
The Patchouli perfume is derived from the Patchouli plant, which is a small bushy herb. . The plant grows to a height of two to three feet and bears pale pink-white flowers. It originates in the tropical regions of Asia, like India, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Mauritius, Philippines, Vietnam and West Africa. The fragrance is acquired by leeching the essence of the leaves out of the plant into odorless carrier oil. The scent of the Patchouli is heavy and earthy as the soil. The fragrance lasts for a long time and can be worn by men as well as women. Patchouli oil and incense gained immense popularity in the 1960s and 1970s in the US and Europe, especially due to the hippie movement. I find that most of my customers fall into that age group however they are a significant number of younger people who like to use it also. One thing that I have noticed about Patchouli customers is that they are sold out to this product. When they see it they will purchase it because it is very hard to find. The most popular patchouli is the Indian Patchouli because this is the exact version of patchouli that became popular in the 1960’s.
You can purchase this extraordinary scented oil fragrance or purchase it either from a health food store or online. Patchouli oil is made by distillation of the Patchouli leaves, or by crushing them and allowing their sap to be leeched into carrier oil. I personally think that this is the best technique for extracting the essence because it doesn’t destroy any of the essence with heat. This method of extraction will take much more time however. You can also use alcohol to help extract the essence but I prefer distilled water.
If you want to use alcohol you should use distilled vodka. Crush the leaves and add them to whatever you are using to extract the fragrance. Shake the mixture well and allow it to sit in a cool dry location for several weeks. Take it out each day and shake it vigorously. Sample the product once a week to see how far you have progressed. Once you are satisfied with your product strain it through a coffee filter or clean cloth to remove the leaves from the liquid. Squeeze the liquid thoroughly to remove all of the essence and discard the leaves of the plant. You now have a product which you can use. The extract from the plant itself has tha same properties that you may have researched.
You can also save time and trouble by purchasing the product online. There are many different sites which offer the finished product. This is best when you want a product that has been fully processed for your personal use/enjoyment.
Patchouli is used in perfumery as well as aromatherapy as it blends well with other oriental oils like lavender oil and rose. It is known as a base fragrance. It mixes very well with many other fragrances and gives a long lasting effect. Patchouli is a fragrance which is loved and appreciated by many.Fragrance Oil Express
